Its a great time to be a software developer.
The top Wall Street firms that we work with are pushing us hard to bring great candidates to their door.
What that means is that we have more openings than we can fill for developers with the following skills: Core Java, multi-threading, real time development, trading systems development. C++/Unix/STL skills, multi-threading.
Serious candidates only, these are real positions with major players on Wall Street as well as the top NYC hedge funds.
I have more openings than I can list here. But I am looking for developers who want to work on highly distributed systems that are capable of handling high volumes, at high frequency.
H1B VISA HOLDERS ARE WELCOME (minimum 3 years of eligibility and at least 1 year of local USA experience- unless you already have your EAD). I cannot sponsor new H1b visas right now.
Candidates that have had success so far have generally come from gaming, telecommunications, trading, graphics, security software firms. Strong comp science fundamentals are critical to do well for the groups I work with.
YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF LOCAL WORK EXPERIENCE (not including internships).
Here are some of the hot openings:
1) Core Java Developers to help build out FX trading systems - Compensation up to 140k + bonus (multiple openings)
2) C++ or Java developers to help build out trading settlements systems. Compensation 100-120k + bonus (7 openings)
3) C# .Net Developer to help build portfolio management systems - Compensation 100-140k + bonus (3 Openings)
4) JavaScript/Ajax experts to help build out the client side of a cutting edge client facing portal up to 140k + bonus (2 openings)
5) C++/Unix developers - Very strong C++/STL/UNIX or Linux developers for trading systems and algorithmic trading systems development. Must be proficient with multi-threading and real time development. - compensation 120k-150k + approximately 20% bonus (5-10 openings)
